Meet Tart and Baby, this week’s Wave Waggin’ Wednesday pets available for adoption at Dogwood Animal Shelter, brought to you by Matt Schrimpf, Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Lake Ozark Realty.
Tart is a lab mix and special needs girl who was featured last June – and is STILL waiting to be adopted! She’ll be 4 in July and lost joint control shortly after birth due to a parasite in her system. She needed a wheelchair to walk, but amazingly taught herself to walk (though in an odd way). Tart enjoys going outside for short walks, gets along well with other dogs and adores attention and affection. She is unable to navigate stairs and cannot get in or out of cars, so she’ll need a patient and loving person beside her. Meanwhile, Baby is an irresistibly cute, short-haired domestic mix cat, almost 12 years old. She’s fairly skittish and will need to be won over by someone willing to accept the challenge with a patient, open, and loving approach. Baby also has a chronic skin condition, and it’s something that she’ll likely have for the rest of her life. She isn’t open to strangers and should be in a home without children or other cats. Want to meet Tart and Baby in person? Stop by the shelter!
