Meet Lakewood and Creamsicle, this week’s Wave Waggin’ Wednesday pets available for adoption at Dogwood Animal Shelter. Lakewood is a year, 3 months old Boxer/Hound mix, at the shelter since August 2025. He’s a big lovebug who craves attention, loves snuggling up for belly rubs, and has a blast playing with his dog buddies on the patio. Bonus: he’s a Puppies for Parole graduate and knows basics like sit, stay, and wait. ⚫ Creamsicle is a sweet kitty with a big heart. He’s Feline Leukemia (FeLV) positive, so he can’t be around other cats unless they’re also FeLV+. (FeLV is NOT a danger to dogs, humans, or other non-feline pets.) He’s currently kennel-restricted to keep other cats safe, and we’re urgently looking for an adopter who can give him the calm, loving home he deserves.
