Jefferson City should fill the open finance director position, but JC-TV is out of luck. Mayor Eeric Struemph presented his take on the 20-14 Budget to the council Thursday evening. Struemph’s spendig plan includes a total budget that’s about 12-perent smaller than last year. He also recommends no raises for city staff, something that hasn’t happened in 20-years. Strumph’s proposal does include full funding for the police and fire departments, but cuts 110 thousand dollars for JC-TV-the public access channel.
