Some good news for Camden County Road and Bridge employees. In 2007 the Camden County Commission was forced to reduce road and bridge employee hours from 40 a week to 35 due to the economic downturn.
In 2011 their hours were increased to 37 a week. Road and Bridge Supervisor Rich Pieper says it looks like budget amendments could be made to return road and bridge employees to a 40 hour work week starting November 5. Road and Bridge employees will be working five 8 hour days during central standard time and four 10 hour days during central daylight savings time.
