Ford Warns of Carbon Monoxide Leaks in Police SUVs

Jefferson City and Columbia police departments are considering installing carbon monoxide detectors in some of their SUV’s.

The consideration comes after a report that some Ford Explorer patrol vehicles are leaking carbon monoxide into the driving compartment.

The leaks are thought to have caused several accidents at police departments around the country.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says it’s not installing specialized equipment in its Explorers yet, but the patrol says it’s in contact with Ford which is considering a recall.
