‘American Idol’ Announces Duet Partners

The American Idol field has been narrowed to 24 contestants. As part of the next round, each of the Top 24 contestants will deliver two performances: a solo number and a duet with a celebrity.

ABC has revealed the celebrity-contestant duet pairings on Idol’sFacebook page.

Twelve of the remaining contestants will deliver their solos on April 8th and their duets on April 9th. The other 12 will perform on April 15th (solos) and April 16th (duets). Some of the stars will double up and sing with two contestants.

April 9th:

  • Brandon Diaz with “Despacito” singer Luis Fonsi
  • Cade Foehner with female alt-rock singer Bishop Briggs
  • Catie Turner with Andy Grammer
  • Dennis Lorenzo with soul singer Allen Stone
  • Dominique with “Wake Me Up” singer Aloe Blacc
  • Gabby Barrett with country duo Sugarland
  • Jonny Brenns with Andy Grammer
  • Kay Kay with Train frontman Pat Monahan
  • Layla Spring with  Sugarland
  • Michael J. Woodard with Pat Monahan
  • Michelle Sussett with Luis Fonsi
  • Trevor McBane with Bishop Briggs

April 16th:
